UST launched 400days countdown to 400 years last December 18, 2009. The theme of the grand event is “400 Years Celebration of Unending Grace.”
This is the quadricentennial clock which is Swatch Beatman for 400 days countdown.
The first printed book Doctrina Cristiana that is now in the US Library of Congress will be part of the exhibit of Quadricentennial celebration. Jose Rizal’s academic record while he was still student of UST will also be viewed for the first time in 2011.
The university has been visited by Pope Paul VI on Nov. 1970 and Pope John Paul II on Feb. 1981 and January 1995. UST is the only university that has been visited by two popes three times.
The UST Quadricentennial celebrations will run from December 2009 until January 2012, and my daughter is just lucky to be there in time of Quadricentennial celebration.
