Every last Monday of August, (August 27 for year 2012) National Heroes Day is celebrated to commemorate the heroes of the Philippine Revolution during the Phillipine American War and World War II.
This year, public and private schools are encourage to participate by celebrating the event by giving some activities like essay writing, drawing, storytelling and other contests on the values, heroism, nationalism and love of the country to give a meaningful celebration and to honor the heroes of the past.
