I just found a nostalgic treasure!
My mother was an excellent sewer. Her sewing skills helped us survived for a living then. I remember her sitting in her old treadle sewing machine the whole day. Because we had no money to buy new dresses, she would sew dresses for us out of remnants of cloth.
When I went home last sem-brek, I saw this in our old cabinet. My sisters and I were all surprised because we all thought that there’s nothing left in my mother’s stuff. We felt like we traveled many years back because this old catalogue has become a big part of our life during our childhood years. We have no magazine, no story book to read, no TV, no indoor activity to do that time and all we could do was to peek at the pages of this book everyday. At our very young age, we would always look for our own models and labeled them with our names in it. That was hilarious but this catalogue brings back a lot of beautiful stories to keep.
