Canon EOS 600D vs Nikon D5100 on Speed

For those who are looking for DSLR camera and need a review of Nikon and Canon, I recommend to browse the pages of Speed, the Shutterbug Issue last July 2011. This will help a lot for those who cannot decide on what unit to buy. I was actually referring also to myself who went to the store to buy SLR and ended up home with Olympus 800Uz which I have been using for more than  a year now.  It costs me around 24K last year, and the main reasons for buying the unit were the features and the price. It’s not about the unit  but an impulse buying worked on me again.

So what and why did I end up with this semi-pro? The advanced features enticed me, and because I wasn’t sure on what to buy, I grabbed the unit at once without even thinking on what I have been eyeing for a long time. My  desire to get a DSLR was set aside because I was also thinking of a new and advanced unit by which my budget doesn’t fit anymore.

Canon 550D worth around 42k

600D around 49k with 18-55mm kits lens instead.

Read more reviews for a smart choice so as not be deceived with features and some freebies that are not necessarily needed. Nikon D5100 is also better which costs 42k with 18-55mm kit lens. The features are almost the same with Canon 600D.

Technology and Everyday Life

I still remember the last time I blog about our life back then where there’s no cell phone and the only way of communication is by snail mail. For fastest mail, we use special telegram which will reach the recipient in two days, the fastest. Today, mobile phone unit serves as a powerful tool of communication. Manufacturers of this gadget offer the best feature while new and powerful technology are being discovered everyday. Because of the many competition and the prices become affordable to everyone, we can’t help but simply grab the unit. When you buy the latest gadget today, you’ll be surprised in a month or two where newer gadgets are being launched.

Aside from mobile phone, my two kids are very much into other gadgets. Often, you’ll see my kids, if not playing with their PSP, in front of the laptop browsing and updating their status in a social networking account or browsing the internet when technology in news are trending in yahoo. I can’t stop them anymore because their school assignments are even given online. I just blog the other day about my nostalgic entry where we played traditional games in our time. Now, I don’t know if they even know about the existence of that game. Probably they heard about them or maybe at one time, a topic in their lesson, but sure I am, they don’t actually know how it is being played.

Back in the US of A!

After a month vacation, my PILs safely landed back in the US. Living across the miles comes back to life through online communication. Although their internet seems to be so poor, we still had a chance to talk about the tiring eighteen hours trip going back home. They are planning to get a new service provider with clear connection just like sirius signal. My PILs complained about intermittent internet connection from time to time.  I do hope it will be installed soon. Anyways, there is still other means of communication like cellphone and land line where we can connect to each other anytime we want to. Right after we talked this morning, they headed straight to my MIL’s sister to console her sister who was grieving about the sudden loss of her husband.
